In this post, I have decided to shift gears from the natural hair content to publish a ‘Get to Know Me Tag,’ for my new and returning visitors to get acquainted with me on a personal level to some capacity. I consider myself to be an intensely private person, however I wanted to share part of myself on this platform while also affirming my boundaries.

Father’s joy or cause of joy in Hebrews.

Canada, Toronto, Ontario.

4. What are your best characteristics?

I am definitely closest to my dad, without a doubt.

6. What is your best physical feature?
Between my nose and my eyes, I would have to say my almond shaped-eyes.

7. What is your favourite colour?
Green.

8. What is your favourite food?
Pizza. My favorite Ghanaian dish, banku and okro soup.

9. What is the name of your favourite restaurant?
Jack Astor’s Bar & Grill. Sadly, there are no locations in Edmonton, Alberta, but it is definitely one of my favourite spots to hit up when I am in Toronto, Ontario.

10. Do you have a whole lot of acquaintances or just a few very close friends? Why?
I have a few very close friends. The older I get the smaller my inner circle gets, and that’s life! I would rather maintain relationships with substance that are intentional than to have multiple casual surface-level relationships where we are not pouring into each other.

11. How many countries have you been to?
Five (Bahamas, Ghana, Jamaica, El Salvador, and the United States: Boston, New York and New Jersey).

12. How many rings before you answer the phone?
None, because my phone is always on silent.

13. What flavour of tea do you enjoy?
Lemon Ginger. 

14. Where do you buy your jeans?
FashionNova. Recently purchased some jeans online, if you are interested in a haul let me know in the comments below.

15. What is the first thing you do when you get home?
Wash my hands by default, but then snatch my Kamiyah lace wig right off, especially now that the weather is warmer.

16. What position do you sleep in?
Fetal position.

17. What is one thing you’d rather pay someone to do than do yourself? Why?
I would rather pay someone to be my personal shopper. One thing about me is that I despise shopping; the public, the constant walking, indecisiveness, the dressing rooms, and not to mention the overwhelming amount of clothes I have to sift through. I do not have the patience for it. Personal shopper, anyone?

18. What was your first ever cell phone?
I am pretty sure it was the LG VX4600 (in red or silver); Phone Provider: Telus.

19. What drains your energy?
Overstimulation; crowds, loud noise, constant movements or excessive talking, etc.

20. How do you replenish your energy?
SLEEP.

21. Describe yourself in a single sentence?
I am authentically and unapologetically me.

22. If you could eliminate one weakness or limitation in your life, what would it be?
If I could eliminate one limitation in my life, it would be my social anxiety.

23. What is your biggest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment was making the decision to move to Edmonton, Alberta; leaving behind the familiar to pursue the unknown. And by God’s grace, I have been able to maintain a decent life for myself that I am comfortable with. Of course, there is always room for improvement, but I have given myself grace to move at my own pace and not by societal pressures.

24. After a breakup, would you rather be alone or be surrounded by friends?
I would rather be alone after a breakup, listening to sad music to be even sadder.

25. What is your favourite music genre?
By default R&B, but Afrobeat is slowly taking over.
