In today’s post, I am sharing my current morning skincare routine, focusing on the Korean skincare products that I am using right now.

If you read my last post, you know I recently shared my first skincare empties—where I gave my honest thoughts on the K-beauty products I completely used up and whether they were actually worth repurchasing. Stay tuned for my October empties. Since I shared what I finished, it only felt right to showcase the products that I have implemented into my routine every morning.

A few years ago, I published my nighttime skincare routine on this platform. While my skin’s needs have stayed the same, my lineup—and the way I layer my products—has completely changed. I definitely plan to share an updated evening routine down the road focusing on how I target dryness, texture, and hyperpigmentation. But today, the focus is my simple, realistic affordable Korean skincare morning routine. Let’s jump right in.

My step-by Step Morning K-Beauty Lineup

A lineup of the SKIN1004 Centella foam cleanser, Anua Heartleaf 77 toner, and COSRX snail mucin essence on a vanity.
I always wash my hands before starting any skincare routine.

1. Cleanse
SKIN1004 – Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam (125ml)

I start my morning with a gentle cleanse using the  SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam. It removes overnight impurities and refreshes my skin without stripping away its natural moisture, prepping it to absorb the rest of my lineup.

2. Tone
ANUA – Heartleaf 77 Soothing Toner (250ml)

Once my face is clean, I gently pat the ANUA Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner into my skin or use a cotton pad. This step provides the first layer of hydration to my morning regimen.

3. Hydrate
COSRX – Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (100ml)

Next up is a K-beauty classic and a personal holy grail: the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. The key to using this essence is to pat it into my skin while it is still slightly damp from the toner. It provides additional hydration and leaves my skin looking healthy and supple.

Numbuzin No.5 Goodbye Blemish Serum bottle on a bathroom vanity desk.

4. BRIGHTEN
Numbuzin – No.5 Goodbye Blemish Serum (50ml)

To target my specific goals of evening out my complexion and fading hyperpigmentation, I follow up with a brightening serum. My current go-to choice is the Numbuzin No.5 Goodbye Blemish Serum. I apply 1-2 pumps of the serum, layering it right over the snail mucin. This formula focuses on clearing up and brightening blemishes gently, giving my skin a natural, radiant glow.

5. MOISTURIZE
COSRX – Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream (100g)

I then follow up with the COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream to lock in everything from my prior steps. This cream seals in moisture and gives my skin a subtle glow.

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice and Probiotics SPF 50 sunscreen tube on a vanity.

6. Protect
BEAUTY OF JOSEON – Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics / Niacinamide SPF50+ PA++++ (50ml)

Finally, this step is an absolute non-negotiable: sunscreen. I finish up my routine with a generous amount of the BEAUTY OF JOSEON Relief Sun. In my last post, I mentioned there are only two Korean sunscreens that I swear by, and this is the second one. It provides sun protection, but it also prevents the progress made by the brightening serum from being reversed.
