Similar to the previous ISEE Hair review and a number of hair reviews that I have shared on this platform; this one will be no different, the ISEE Hair M-Cap Yaki Straight Glueless Wig will be fragmented in two parts; (1) unboxing/first impression and (2) the final look followed with my closing thoughts to help anyone in their buying decision. First Impression

Let me preface this by saying that my thoughts of the ISEE Hair M-Cap Yaki Straight Glueless Wig are solely my own and you can expect an honest review about the glueless wig based on my experience with the unit. 

If you read my initial ISEE Hair Kinky Curly Glueless Wig review, you will recognize most of the information and opinion shared will mirror that of the ISEE Hair Yaki Straight Glueless Wig as the construction of the unit is interchangeable except for the hair texture (yaki straight).  

Density

Straight out of the package I was underwhelmed with the density of the unit. I intentionally opted for a density of 250 thinking it would be full and voluminous after reviewing a few sponsored videos of influencers who modeled the unit and the disappointment I felt with the ISEE Hair kinky curly unit. Sadly, for me, my expectations were not met; unlike the kinky curly unit which can be manipulated to give an illusion of denser hair, I am not confident the same can be achieved with the yaki straight. How does one confirm if the hair density they requested is what they received?  

Odor

The odor of human hair (whether dealing with wigs, extensions, or bundles) is inevitable due to the production process; therefore, you can expect to detect a slight trace of odor.
To combat the odor of the ISEE Hair Yaki Straight unit, I plan to use baking soda and dilute it in water and follow up with a shampoo and conditioner. 

Shedding 

I experienced shedding by simply shaking and brushing the hair, prior to applying any products and /or making any modifications to the unit.  

Hair Specifications

Hair Texture: Yaki Straight. No concerns. The ISEE Hair Yaki Straight unit mimics afro hair that has been relaxed or pressed straight, and it is lightweight and tangle free. 

Hair Line & Knots: No concerns. The pre-plucked hairline and bleached, tiny knots were prepared beforehand and appeared fine to me.

Lace Type / Dimensions: In my first ISEE Hair Kinky Curly Glueless Wig review I mentioned that I was not too keen on the lace size (9*6”), the pre-cut lace pattern (for reference, in small waves) and the lace curvature (intended to mimic forehead contour), and that remains unchanged. This was my second ISEE Hair order, so I knew what to expect – and now I have experience on how to maneuver and finesse the unit to work for me once I prep and install it.

Hair Length / Color: 18” & 1B natural black, no concerns. 

Wig Cap Size & Features: The wig size is medium (M) 22.5 to 23” (customization is available), no concerns. Personally, I do not think the cap size is big head friendly but be informed the choice to customize the wig cap is available to best fit your needs. 

A few features on the wig cap that I valued were the C-shape (match ear shape), designed to conform to the contours of the ears; it protects the ears from the wig cap pressing against it and is a notable feature for glasses wearers (glasses approved), like myself. 

Next, the (re)movable combs allow for flexibility to wear the wig with the combs for extra security and stability or without. I prefer the wig without the combs as a preventative hair care measure. 

Lastly, the wide elastic band which achieves a secure fit and helps the wig to sit snugly on the head for a natural and undetectable look. The band is durable, and I can attest to this – I have not had to replace the band on my ISEE Hair Kinky Curly unit since I received my order back in August 2024, and I am still wearing the unit to date.
