If you landed here, my bet is, you are just as curious as I am to know if the Felicia Leatherwood Original Detangler Brush is really engineered to ease the hair detangling process.
Before I proceed with reviewing the detangler brush itself, I wanted to get into my first impression of the product packaging because it is everything. Felicia Leatherwood curated the perfect packaging to display the detangle brush in.
Product Packaging
The Felicia Leatherwood Detangler Brush is packaged in a transparent black gradient, white and black PVC packaging box with minimal typography on the front. The packaging provides clear and concise context about the detangler brush, the innovator, Felicia Leatherwood, and the benefits on why one should buy the detangler.
I love the touch of sleekness and sophistication the packaging exudes. Not only is it appealing but also on brand. For me, the packaging embodies simplicity, a reflection of the product and the movement that started it all: to allow easy detangling specifically for natural textured hair, but also works for all hair types.
PRODUCT Review
The Felicia Leatherwood Original Detangler Brush
I can assure you that the Felicia Leatherwood Original Detangler Brush is a reliable product for its intended use, and I am elated with my purchase.
The widely spaced flexi-bristles of the detangler brush gilded moderately easily through my hair with the right technique (brush the ends of the hair, slowly working upwards to the roots) without any pain and discomfort.
I did not experience hair pulling, breakage and or damage, as the bristles flex, bend, and move with my hair to release knots and define curls without aggravating my hair strands. However, hair shedding was excessive only because I was coming out of a protective style that I had for approximately two months (I will continue to monitor hair shedding as I continue to detangle with the Felicia Leatherwood Original Detangler Brush).
The detangler provides a comfortable, sturdy grip with its wide handle which is likely to counteract hand cramping when hair detangling for a period of time. Speaking of which, my detangling time has significantly reduced with the detangler; what normally takes me three hours or more to detangle took me 1hr 30 minutes.
Additionally, the detangler is easy to clean (if there is one thing I hate, it’s a comb or brush with hair in it) and the construction is durable to remain functional for a very long time.
Taking everything into consideration, would I recommend the Felicia Leatherwood Original Detangler Brush? Heck, yes!
