ISEE Hair Review
First and foremost, if you are not subscribed to OnlyOneJess’ Youtube channel, who are you really watching? I stumbled across OnlyOneJess’ channel in either Summer or Fall of 2022 — during a desolate / bleak period in my life. I remember watching one of Jessica’s (also known as Jess) vlogs and being drawn to her content because she spoke with such wisdom (she really spoke life into my situation in a few of her vlogs), was unapologetically authentic to herself and her viewers, and would always make me laugh without even trying or doing too much (she is hilarious!). And ever since then I have been locked into her channel.
Jess is such a beautiful soul inside and out, literally a beacon of light. I pray God continues to use her to advance His kingdom. I love Jess ( love her, love her life — in my mind, she is my virtual sister). If you want to check out her content (beauty, natural hair, and lifestyle), feel free to do so, OnlyOneJess; she also has a podcast with her spouse called “Between the Walls,” where they have honest conversations on relationships, marriage, and faith.
Now, let’s get into the purpose of today’s post,
the ISEE Hair Review – Unboxing / First Impression. Let me start off by saying, I was not familiar with this hair company until Jess put the girls on (this is why you need to subscribe and have your notifications on when it comes to your favourite Youtubers, because they are really looking out for you, no gatekeeping) with her ISEE M-Cap Glueless Wig video review. Immediately after watching the video, I was sold and knew I would eventually place an order once the cash inflow made sense, and in time it did.
This hair series will be divided in two parts; the first part, is an unboxing, first impression; where I will disclose the hair specifications, cost, and shipping. In the second part, I will share how I prepped the ISEE Hair M-Cap Kinky Curly Glueless Wig and my final thoughts, to assist anyone in their purchasing decision, who has contemplated on spending a pretty penny on this unit.

First Impression: ISee Hair M-Cap Kinky CurLy Glueless Wig
Let me emphasize, this first impression review of the ISEE Hair M-Cap Kinky Curly Glueless Wig are my initial, genuine thoughts, upon unboxing and trying it on without any products or customization done to the unit.
To start off, when removing the wig from its hair package I sensed a slight trace of odor which did not alarm me, as this is common when ordering from hair vendors, and the odor could be easily resolved with shampoo and/or conditioner.
With regards to the wig’s hair specifications,
I had no concerns on how the pre-plucked hairline and bleached knots appeared. The convenience of having both prepared beforehand benefited me, especially for someone who has no experience in lace wig customization. For that reason, I was satisfied with what I received, knowing that it was better than what I could have achieved on my own.
Having said that, I was not keen with the cut on the lace of the hairline and the lace size. When I install synthetic wigs I am accustomed to trimming the lace in a zigzag pattern and as close to the hairline as possible, whereas with the ISEE Hair M-Cap Kinky Curly Glueless Wig the lace was cut in small waves. In addition to the lace, the lace is also designed to be curved to perfectly fit the forehead without any gaps or rolling edges to pull off a seamless look, but I beg to differ. I have a prominent forehead; therefore, the small wave pattern and the lace curvature would draw attention to the lace, making it increasingly detectable for me.
As for the lace size (9*6”), I would have preferred more coverage to cover the entire hairline (ideally 13 inches in the front of the wig for coverage) for a natural look and versatility where styling is concerned. The lace size would definitely require some getting used to.
Not to mention, the wig’s hair density was not the thickness / fullness I had hoped for straight out of the package. The density seemed thinner compared to other Youtubers I observed, who received the same hair specifications (length varied) – slightly disappointed.
On another note,
there were a few features that were meaningful for my avid wig wearers. For starters, the wig cap is constructed as a C-shape, the purpose of the C-shape design is to conform to the contours of the ears. This means that the wig can be worn with ease, without the discomfort of the wig cap pressing against the ears.
The next feature was the removable accessories (the combs and band). I detest combs on wigs as they tend to pull on the hair, usually on the sides (edges) and nape area, causing breaking and/or damage to the hair. As a preventative measure, I always remove the combs off the wig cap, using a blade to avoid ruining the wig unit. With the ISEE Hair M-Cap, it is nice to know you have the flexibility to wear the wig with the combs (for extra wig security and stability) or without. Also, the combs are easy to remove and insert in place without the hassle of having to sew them back onto the wig cap.
I, for one, heavily rely on the band on the wigs that I have purchased in the past, to achieve the best secure fit. The only issue with that is, over time the band will tend to lose its elasticity and stretch, prohibiting the wig to fit snugly on the head. Contrarily, I do not foresee that happening with the ISEE Hair M-Cap band; the band is thick and strong, and you can tell it is built to last. I like my wigs to fit snugly on the head to achieve a natural and undetectable appearance, so the fact that I can fasten (or loosen) the band to my desired tightness to ensure the wig is comfortable and secure on the head is great. No need to worry about the wig ‘back sliding’ or causing any discomfort. And if you are not crazy about the band, it is removable!
Stay tuned for the second part of this series, where I share how I prepped the ISEE Hair M-Cap Kinky Curly Glueless Wig and my final thoughts after having worn the unit.
