Today I am introducing a new series to my platform which will feature my partner. This series will focus on testing various hair growth products for thinning hair, concentrating on the frontal region and the crown.
The objective of this series is to identify if the products advertised help to promote hair growth or are fallacious marketing tactics.
HOW WILL THIS WORK?
A new post will be published under this series where I share a hair growth product that I will propose to my partner to try out. I will document images of his progression which will debut on a monthly basis until the product is done.
MY PARTNER’S HAIR DILEMMA
To provide context to my partner’s hair setback, he started experiencing hair thinning in the crown and frontal region in 2010 and 2019, respectively. Hoping that his hair would grow back, the thought of purchasing hair products to promote growth in the affected area never crossed his mind until 2020.
In 2020, he purchased Chambers’ Chapter 2000 Super Hair Growth Scalp treatment to address the issue. He applied the product daily for two months, and noticed little to none hair growth – forcing him to discontinued use.
THE CAUSE
My partner believes genetics may be the cause of his hair thinning which will potentially lead to hair loss, male pattern baldness if no action to reverse it is done in the early stages. Male pattern baldness happens as hormone levels change over a man’s lifetime. Both his father and grandfather fell victim to it.
HAIR GROWTH PRODUCT
Virgin Hair Fertilizer (125g) | 8.99 CAD
The first hair growth product that I have suggested my partner use once or twice daily is the Virgin Hair Fertilizer. He has been applying the product for approximately two months now. It is difficult for me to assess if there has been any growth, since no before photos were documented (hence this post). Nevertheless, I have encouraged him to continue using the product until we venture out exploring other products, specifically for hair growth.
The Virgin Hair Fertilizer claims to nourish the hair follicles to help promote speedy and healthy growth, claiming that regular use of this cream will help your hair to grow back.
For Alternative Use: the Virgin Hair Fertilizer is useful after the application of very tight braids to help achieve some looseness and ease the tension on your scalp, and is also excellent for damaged hair.
THE GOAL
My partner’s aim is for both the frontal region and the crown to grow back in, so he can pursue various hair styles.
Consistency is key in everything we do in life, and that same concept can be applied when achieving a hair goal. Consistency is what I plan to instill in my partner while aiding him on his hair journey, one product at a time.
