Final Hair Review: Amazing Beauty Hair (Extensions) Series (Pt.3)
One Month Post

0

I have been back from my month long vacation for three weeks and change. If you are interested to know where: I vacationed to the beautiful country of Accra, Ghana. As promised, I am here to deliver and share with you my final thoughts on the Amazing Beauty Hair: Afro Kinky Curly clip-in extensions. But before I do, if you have not read part one and two of my  Amazing Beauty Hair (Extensions) series, check them out:  Unboxing/First Impression and Hair Maintenance (Washing Process) , respectively. I will touch on the following: The application, styling, hair maintenance, shedding, and my final thoughts on Amazing Beauty Hair.

Clip-ins (Extensions) Application:

First and foremost, the application of the Afro Kinky Curly clip-in extensions was extremely quick and easy. There are plenty of How-To tutorials on YouTube demonstrating how to apply the clip-ins (check them out, especially if it is your first time experimenting with them). My initial concern before applying the extensions was not knowing how to cornrow my hair back; however, I soon realized that was the least of my worries. There are different methods used to apply clip-ins to ensure that your natural hair is protected. I will share with you how I applied my clip-ins.

How I applied  theAfro Kinky Curly clip-ins:

    1. I twisted my entire hair in small-medium sized twists
    2. I left out a small section at the front for my leave out (middle part)
    3. I braided the twists back (excluding the leave out) and tucked the ends; securing it with bobby pins
    4.  I then I applied the clip-ins — starting with the larger wefts with 4 clips attached to the back; applying each section of the wefts making my way to the crown of my head, as the  number of clips attached descended (4, 3, 2, 1)
    5. I unraveled the double strand twists for my leave out — to blend in with the clip-in extensions

Styling:

When it comes to styling my hair in general, I do the bare minimum. Being that it was my first time experimenting with clip-in extensions, I played it safe.  I wore the extensions in the following styles: a middle part,  low ponytail, and a (failed attempt) twist-out.

Final hair review (one month post). I am wearing my afro kinky curly clip in extensions from Amazing Beauty Hair, in the colour 1B. Photo was taken in my mother's store in Accra, Ghana.

What I like about the extensions is that it is versatile; you can alter the colour and apply heat-styling tools (just make sure to apply heat protectant when applying heat). I have not attempted to colour or apply heat but I do plan to at a later date. As for now, I  will continue to experiment with the extensions in its natural state and attempt to achieve various styles.

Hair Maintenance:

Hair maintenance is crucial when discussing the longevity of hair whether it is your own hair or — in this case, 100% Remy human hair. Apart from washing the extensions (which is advised to wash as infrequently as possible to prevent them from becoming unnecessarily dry), applying moisture when worn is essential; to give the extensions a long-lasting moisture boost.

In a spray bottle contained with water and conditioner; I would simply spritz my extensions and go. As a result, my hair had definition, a natural shine, no tangles and minimal frizz.

Final hair review (one month post). minimal hair shed after washing all 14 clip-ins from Amazing Beauty Hair.

Shedding:

Shedding is inevitable. We all experience hair shedding; however, the amount we experience varies from person to person — as there are many factors that contribute to it. So, if and when you come across a hair company that promotes “NO SHEDDING” on their website, click off  ( X in the top right corner) because chances are that is a lie.

During my time in Ghana, I washed my clip-ins once because I was enjoying my time at the beach — in other words,  salt water and sand got into my hair.  I did experience minimal shedding after washing all 14 clip-ins (two sets of extensions).

On the other hand, when styling my hair, I experienced close to none shedding. The reason being: (1) no tools such as a comb or brush were used,  (2) low manipulation, and (3) I kept my hands out of my hair.

Final Thoughts:

Although I had the extensions in my possession for a month, I did not have them in during the entire duration of my stay. I installed them four times and  was not disappointed. I can confidently say, Amazing Beauty Hair: Afro Kinky Curly clip-in extensions is quality hair; it is thick and full, has a natural shine, elasticity, and minimal shedding.

Final hair review (one month post). I am wearing my afro kinky curly clip in extensions from Amazing Beauty Hair, in the colour 1B, and styled in a middle part. Photo was taken at Osu Castle in Accra, Ghana.

Granted, I had ordered the incorrect hair texture. Yet, I was still able to manipulate my natural hair to blend in with the extension. On contrary to that, the only nuisance I experienced with wearing the extensions was constantly having to re-twist my leave out to blend it in with the extensions. As a result of being in such humid climate, the humidity would cause my leave out to frizz and shrink.

Overall, I  would recommend Amazing Beauty Hair (Extensions) to anyone who is seeking affordable Afro Kinky Curly clip-ins. I cannot speak for the other hair textures that are available but I can only hope that the  quality is just as good as the quality hair I received. My experience from the time I place my order to receiving the extensions has been a smooth and easy transaction. The clip-ins are easy to use and maintain, minimal shedding, and is extremely convenient for those who want to achieve a quick protective hairstyle.

That concludes the series of my Amazing Beauty Hair review. I hope  you found the series helpful. If you would like me to post more hair reviews in the future, leave a comment below.

Until next time!
